Shelley first visited Martha’s Vineyard in 1962 and, in 2004, made the satisfying leap from seasoned summer person to fully rooted resident. She has spent most of her professional career in corporate communications before turning a favorite hobby – snooping into the housing market – into a career in real estate. She knows first-hand the rewards of buying, developing, selling and renting property on-island and off. Shelley offers sellers and buyers an in-depth knowledge of the island, which comes not only from years of personal adventures but also from her people-savvy experience as a hotel concierge in Edgartown, as a contributing writer for Martha’s Vineyard Magazine and as a commentator for the Cape and Islands NPR station. The native New Yorker has lived in Washington, DC; Dallas, Texas; and Stavanger, Norway, and she has traveled much of the world. She jogs, coaxes her garden, reads literary fiction and prowls for antiques, art and sea glass. She serves on the Cottage City (Oak Bluffs) Historic District Commission and volunteers with the Cape & Islands chapter of the American Red Cross.
